alone in the crowd
March 23, 2020
At Mindful Supply, we encourage you to live in the now and wear what matters. But as we live in the new now, today, our goal is to encourage people that what we do now, matters.
Surely you don't need another reminder that the world is dealing with the COVID-19 Pandemic. In North Carolina where Mindful Supply is headquartered, schools are closed, restaurants and bars did away with dine-in service and most people, not in the health care sector, delivery service or food industry, are working from home. This is the new normal. For now.
And if you're either working from home or daycare-ing from home or both, it probably feels a little foreign. But we live in a time where information is readily available, communication with others is at the touch of a button and we have access to various delivery services. While this time in our lives is most certainly one of unrest, we encourage you to be mindful of those on the front lines helping to combat this crisis and those near us at home. There are those in our neighborhoods who might need us to run to the grocery store for them. There are those who have no choice but to leave the house for work to put food on the table. There are those whose job situations just shifted for the worse due to the crisis.

At Mindful Supply, we want to encourage you to encourage others. We all need support. There's no way around it so here is a list of things you can do today to be mindful of others during these challenging times.
  • Say hello to your neighbors. Ask if there is anything they need.
  • When you can, give a huge thank you to health care workers, grocery store clerks, and delivery service people
  • Support local businesses where you can. For example, our local coffee house offers curbside pickup on all coffee orders
  • Call, text, or video chat those relatives and friends that you haven't talked to in a while. In fact, set up recurring catch-up sessions with them to maintain a sense of community
We don't know what the next couple of months will look like during this pandemic but we do know what today looks like. Let's take care of others the best way we can. Stay safe, stay healthy and be mindful.
Message us your questions and let us know if there is anything we can be doing to assist you during this season.
Sincerely,
The Mindful Supply Team
